About

I am a passionate filmmaker with over five years of experience in various aspects of film production, including directing, editing, and cinematography. My journey in understanding film and its intricacies began at Rotorua Boys’ High School, where I honed my skills in storytelling and technical filmmaking. I have worked on a couple short films, documentaries, and independent projects.

My goal is to continue growing as a filmmaker and to contribute to impactful and thought-provoking projects. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to the Film BOP team.

Industry Experience

While I am at the beginning of my professional journey in the film industry, I have developed a strong foundation through my education and personal projects. I recently graduated from Victoria University with a degree in Film Studies and Media, where I completed various coursework in film analysis, production, and video editing. During my studies, I analyzed and learnt many different aspects of film and focused on my skills as a video editor , gaining hands-on experience in storytelling and technical filmmaking.

In addition to my academic background, I have been actively involved in creating video content for my personal YouTube channel, where I write, shoot, and edit my own short films and vlogs. This experience has allowed me to develop skills in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, as well as in-camera operation and lighting techniques.

My background in Photography and video editing has equipped me with valuable skills in related skills, such as visual storytelling, project management, and collaboration.
