About
Born and bred in Taupō, I left the quiet lake shores of home for adventure & higher education in Auckland city not knowing my love of making, wearable arts and textiles could be a career pathway into the future.
Am now armed with a Bachelors degree in Costume Design and management from Unitec, and continued to grow and build a solid body of work ever since the discovery of this industry.
Sassy, smart, confident, hardworking, diligent, kind & charismatic force of energy.
Am passionate about collaborating with Aotearoa’s vast creative community – the full spectrum of artists, technicians, directors and performers to visually create and ‘tell stories’ as one united force.
Mentoring the next generation & helping rangatahi is also of great importance to any future projects am involved with.
Industry Experience
Specialising as an On-Set Costumier (Key Standby and Dresser) and Off-Set Designer & Supervisor (workroom manufacture).
Coming up to nearly 20 years experience in the business.
Have undertaken almost every role within the Costume department navigating my way to fully understand the creative industry as a whole, focusing on using the detailed medium and art of costume to do so.
International, local, big budget, no budget … if it’s worth doing will invest my time, energy and skills.
