About

Larissa Allen (Tūhourangi ki Ōtūkawa) is an actor, producer and writer based between Rotorua and Tauranga, known for emotionally grounded performances and a deep commitment to telling authentic stories, that provide joy and/or spark conversation and change. Recent screen credits include lead roles in the short films Pākehā (2025), Exposure (2025), and Love Ya Face, a supporting role & director of Petrified (2024). She trained at the Atlantic Acting School in New York as the 2023 Equity Foundation Scholarship recipient.

In 2021 she co-founded Eddie Page Productions, where she works across every stage of production from development, funding, casting, marketing, and distribution. Pākehā is the project closest to her heart so far, screening as an Academy-qualifying selection at Flickerfest and winner of Best Short Fiction at FIFO. She also production coordinated feature film Ka Whawhai Tonu (2023), and is currently a selected participant in the Regional Producer Accelerator programme, building on her growing slate of TV series, features and short films in development.

Before screen work became her full-time focus, Larissa spent 15+ years as a marketing strategist and event manager, and holds a BComm in Public Relations & Marketing from the University of Waikato. That background is one of her biggest strengths on a production as she doesn’t just help tell the story, she knows how to get it seen.

She’s a proud mother and breast cancer survivor, and she’s especially passionate about backing wāhine-led projects and bringing underrepresented voices to the screen.
