Hi Im Milly B.
I have 20 years experience providing art entertainment within the events industry in Queenstown. I am creative director, costume maker, manager and performer for FLAME Entertainment. FLAME is based in Queenstown and now branching out into the North as Ive returned to Rotorua to be closer to family and rural living.
I value clear communication when providing details for costuming and talent. Ive created multiple bespoke performances and costuming for clients and themed events. I have skills in production, FLAME style costume design/collation, making and communication. I’m open to new experiences that continue to refine and add to my skills.
I appreciate working in a team that offers various skills and constructive perspectives for the good of a unified creative vision.
I understand the mission of a creative project; valuing both the required organisation, the inevitable chaos and being available for creative solutions in the moment.
Im an avid op shopper and an enthusiastic collector of the wild and fabulous in clothing and props – I love to hunt for any object that can fulfil an expressive role within a production.
Industry Experience
I’m an adaptable and independant creative with over 20 years of skills and initiative in creating performance art costuming for FLAME.
I have provided on set massage for film crews in Queenstown – with my mobile massage chair ( my other vocation and passion is wellbeing )
Other than knowing a few filmies and being an extra in LOTR Queenstown shoots Ive minimal work experience in film.
