About
My film career began after I graduated from Unitec Drama with a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts. I then pursued acting, featuring in commercials, theatre shows, and films. One of my career highlights was playing the role of Caja, a feisty strong-willed female, in Desired, a feature film that was a finalist at the Festival de Cannes.
I then lived and worked in London as an Event Executive for large events which was life-changing, it helped enhance my organisation and management skills having to coordinate different people with nationalities from all around the globe.
Upon returning to New Zealand, I organised festivals and whilst working long hours in events, I yearned to return to the film industry. That’s when I met Anton Steel, founder of Film Bay of Plenty, who introduced me to the world behind the camera. With my experience in event coordination and acting, I discovered a natural fit as an Assistant Director. This marked the beginning of my behind-the-scenes film journey. Since then I have worked on numerous short films.
